Workshop: There is no fear in public speaking…

but there is puking…..

Literally the letters for the word “FEAR” are not in the words “Public Speaking” but you can pull out the letters for “PUKING” easy enough.   It’s very normal to get a little (or a lot worried) when you’re speaking to a crowd or even presenting at work and nearly 80% of people are nervous with 10% of people are terrified of public speaking.   You’re not alone in your fear!

In many professions you can run from public speaking but you really can’t hide.   We all have strengths and weaknesses and can focus on accessing our strengths if we choose a career with thr right duties but…

……yes there’s a but…..

…you can’t always escape the need to convey your projects, ideas or even success without some ability to speak effectively.  We’ve all met the most brilliant engineers, accountants and even artists who undermine themselves because they stumble, mumble and stutter through an important opportunity.  It doesn’t have to be fearful and fitful and while public speaking may never be fun for you there’s no reason to dread the opportunity to give a presentation.

Let’s work together to build skills for you or your group and you’ll benefit by…

  • building skills to boost your confidence
  • tapping into past experience and successes
  • identifying the right and wrong slides for your presentation
  • using best practices for engaging your audience

Let’s talk about your goals in public speaking and set a time to chat about how to take “puking” out of public speaking!

Couple your skills in public speaking with rapport and you’re on your way to more effective communication.
